Villa Gareloch

Villa Gareloch is a private Victorian home in Sea Point, located directly across the street from Blackheath Lodge. It offers the privacy and independence of a residence, with the added benefit of access to the hotel’s amenities and support whenever needed—a unique hybrid stay that suits short visits and longer stays.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house retains much of its original character, with high ceilings, bay windows, and wooden floors. Bedrooms can be configured with either king-size or twin beds, and fitted with luxurious linen, with fluffy towels and comfortable robes provided. All principal rooms are air-conditioned. One bathroom includes a classic slipper bath.

The lounge features a marble-clad fireplace, with generously sized sofas and armchairs upholstered in soft neutrals and sage green. A second fireplace anchors the separate dining room, which seats six. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances and ample counter space, for relaxed home cooking. Outside, a private courtyard includes a built-in braai and a large dining table for alfresco meals.

Set just beneath Signal Hill, Villa Gareloch is well positioned for exploring the Sea Point promenade, the V&A Waterfront, Green Point Stadium, and the city bowl. 

Villa guests are welcome to make full use of the amenities at Blackheath Lodge, just across the street. A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily on the terrace, featuring home-baked pastries, fresh fruit, and a full English option. 

Additional services include airport transfers, private guided tours, full laundry, and a well-stocked self-service bar in the guest lounge.  The team is nearby and available around the clock to support your stay, should you need it.
