Completing this quintessential beach destination are the two tidal rivers, Kariega and Bushman's, offering safe swimming in calm lagoons and an abundance of water sports opportunities.

The Kariega River runs on the eastern side of Kenton, and is accessible via a slipway in town. Combining a sea beach with a lagoon, Kariega’s blue flag beach is very popular with families.
Sibuya Game Reserve
Sibuya Game Reserve offers a range of daily cruises up the Kariega River with experienced guides. The cruises include a leisurely boat trip, a game drive, and dining on the scenic riverbanks. As the day draws to a close, enjoy the journey down the river back to Kenton-on-Sea while watching the sunset, adding the perfect touch to this remarkable nature experience.
Shelley Bay
Whispering of a hidden treasure, Shelley Bay is a unique, secluded beach experience, where a 20-minute hike over sand dunes rewards you with the most spectacular views, and a beautiful turquoise bay. Enclosed by a semicircle of high rock, the bay is sheltered from the rest of the world and most winds. Prepare for an unforgettable day and embrace the blissful seclusion, reserved for those who dare to explore.
Bushman’s River Mouth
The pristine beaches on either side of the Bushman's River beckon families and beach enthusiasts, with the added allure of being a popular spot to soak in the mesmerising sunsets. A river cruise is a great way to experience a fascinating variety of bird species and wildlife on the banks. For an unforgettable experience, we recommend embarking on the three-hour walk from Bushman's to Diaz Cross.
