Avondrood Guest House is an authentic Victorian Cape Dutch home built in 1870 in the Franschhoek Valley. Its design reflects the French Huguenot heritage that shaped this wine-producing region, with original architectural details preserved through careful renovation.
The guesthouse is within easy walking distance of Franschhoek’s village centre, surrounded by vineyards and framed by the Cape Winelands mountains. The area is known for its wine estates, historic architecture, and a vibrant food scene that has earned Franschhoek the title of South Africa’s gourmet capital.

Avondrood has eight generously sized suites, each individually styled, with beds made up in fine quality 100% percale linen and bath essentials provided.
