Rooms

Avondrood Guesthouse offers eight individually styled rooms, each with an extra-length king-size bed dressed in 100% percale linen. The en-suite bathrooms have underfloor heating and feature large Victorian baths and a separate walk-in shower. Bathrobes, towels for bathing and swimming, and Charlotte Rhys bath essentials are provided.

Each room is appointed with a wardrobe for personal belongings, a desk, and a comfortable seating area. A tea and coffee station and a stocked minibar are standard in every room.

Climate control is provided by air-conditioning units with both cooling and heating functions. Selected suites also feature wood-burning fireplaces for added warmth and ambience during the winter months. Evening turndown service is provided.

Mountain View Suite

Our Mountain View Suite is a spacious top-floor, two-bedroom suite with a private lounge and a wood-burning fireplace. It offers panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains and a private patio furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas, and an outdoor dining table. Access is available from the garden staircase and a private staircase off the kitchen, ensuring utmost privacy for up to four guests.

Luxury Suite

Our Luxury Suites sleep two guests and are located beside the pool, with views of the garden from private terraces. Two suites include wood-burning fireplaces, while one offers a private garden area with sun loungers.

Luxury Room

Each of our Luxury Rooms takes inspiration from one of South Africa’s signature landscapes, the Winelands, the Safari, or the Sea, with décor reflecting its theme. Rooms are individually styled and have private entrances opening into the garden through a courtyard.

Deluxe Room

Our charming Deluxe Old Village Room occupies a section of the original house, with high wooden ceilings that reflect its historic character. A private front door opens directly to the garden and pool. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and does not include a bathtub.
