Game Drives to Addo National Park
Explore the National Park on guided drives with our resident rangers, using our privately owned open game-viewer vehicles.
Half Day Game Drives
- Departs twice daily at 8:00am and 2pm from reception.
- Cost: R2150pp including drink, snacks & entrance fee
- Duration: +- 3 hours, excluding travel time from Camp Figtree to main gate
- Please ensure you are at the lodge by 1pm latest to join the afternoon game drive
Full Day Game Drives
- Departs Camp Figtree at 8:00am and return approx. 6pm.
- Cost: R3700pp including lunch at a picnic site within Addo, drinks, snacks & entrance fee
Important to note
- This is a shared drive with other Camp Figtree guests. Minimum 2 guests per game drive, maximum 10 guests
- No children under the age of six permitted on our game drives, babysitting service is available upon request.

Safari with Giraffes:
- Enjoy a morning or afternoon walking safari with Giraffes and a Buffalo experience in a game vehicle at Bellevue Forest Reserve.
- Giraffe Walk – R900pp | Giraffe and Buffalo Combo – R1525pp
- Times: Morning 7:15am | 09:30am | 15:30 – Please ensure you arrive 30mins prior to start time
- Transfers- 1-2 guests: R2450 return. 3-4 guests: R3650 return. One hour travel time from Camp Figtree.

Schotia Tooth & Claw Safari
- Schotia is a private reserve next to Addo National Park. They pride themselves on the viewing of the rhino, hippo, giraffe and lion. After a boma dinner prepared over an open fire, a short spot lit night drive provides the possibilities of spotting nocturnal animals.
- Cost: R2500pp including boma “braai” dinner and drinks
- Times: Summer: 3pm – 9pm | winter: 2pm – 8pm (duration 6 hours)
- Transfers- 1-2 guests: R2450 return. 3-4 guests: R3650 return. One hour travel time from Camp Figtree.

Addo Zipline
- If you are feeling a little adventurous, the highest, longest and fastest double zip line in South Africa is right here in Addo! For the zip line a low level of fitness is required in order to hike the 480m to the departure point. Training shoes are recommended.

- Duration: 45mins
- Transfers- R700pp return. Minimum 2 guests. One hour travel time from Camp Figtree.

Addo Wildlife Package :
The malaria-free private game reserve incorporates 2,500 hectares of pristine African wilderness.
The reserve offers safari guests the experience of a life time with close up game viewing of lion, buffalo and a host of other South African wildlife from the comfort of an open game viewing vehicle.
Majestic Giants Safari Experience (R4200pp)
The Majestic Giants Safari Experience offers an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Addo Wildlife.
The morning begins with a half-day safari, providing guests with an incredible opportunity for close-up game viewing of iconic African wildlife. Following the safari, a traditional braai lunch is served at the reserve. In the afternoon, guests embark on another thrilling game drive, continuing their wildlife exploration. Drinks and snacks are provided throughout the day to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Activities on site at Camp Figtree
Please note that these cannot be booked in advance and must be booked on arrival, subject to weather and staff availability. Please enquire onsite for availability and times.
Bush walk
- On the property of Camp Figtree with a guide. The focus here is on the environment, fauna & flora, smaller insects and birds. Walks depart on request and availability of ranger.
- Cost: R400pp for a 1,5 hour walk. Includes drinking water.
- Minimum 2 guests, maximum 8 guests.
Mountain E-bike rides
- Head off on and adventure with a guide. Different routes ranging from beginner to advanced.
- Minimum 1 guest, maximum 3 guests.
- Cost: R650pp for a 1.5 hour ride. Includes e-bike rental and drinking water.
Special Requests for Camp Figtree
Please note that these require pre-booking, as our lodge is off the grid and located in a remote area, with limited access to shops.
Sundowners at the Boma
- Gather around the boma for sundowners, hear stories from our rangers, and watch the sun dip below the horizon before dinner.
- PLEASE NOTE: Our boma is open to the elements, so this experience is weather dependent. If conditions are unsuitable, you are welcome to join us in the restaurant instead.
